fashion princess male dancer Salsa Dancing - A Beginner\'s Perspective
Maybe like me you would be a little nervous about turning up at a Salsa class for the first time. But I can assure you from my own experiences that you have nothing to fear. The first class I went to plunged me straight into a warm up and then I found myself in front of my first partner. We then just had to copy the male teacher who was demonstrating with a suitable lady partner. Once we had tried out the move the ladies moved along one place and off we went again. Not only was this interesting and enjoyable, but the instant immersion, that is, getting straight down to some dancing moves was really quite exhilarating. Each time a new lady appeared I very quickly pointed out that it was my first time. Absolutely no problem. Beginners and Intermediates were all involved in the beginners class, not least because it was good experience for them to teach, and also of obvious benefit to the newcomers. Many of them pointed out that they were beginners once, knew what it was like and I was told not to worry. Being a man I have to say that is was very pleasant to experience, all this female contact and interaction, not to mention the sheer sociability of it. At this point I realised that it really would be possible to become one of the Salsa dancers! So my first encounter was most enjoyable, good fun and a new experience. I found the other dancers to be very friendly and I was made to feel very welcome as a newcomer. It is a well known fact that more women than men like to dance and that one of the reasons they go along to a Salsa class is that they KNOW they will get to dance, for the whole evening if they want. For them it a no lose situation. All of the men are there, BECAUSE they want to dance. So every man is looking for a dancing partner and every woman is not going to say no. So for the men it is a win win situation because men are usually in short supply and their requests for a dance are always welcomed. For a modest fee, Salsa dancers enjoy a great night out - being with plenty of like minded people who want to do the same thing - be Salsa dancers! Where else can you go along to a dance hall, have a great time being with other Salsa dancers for 2-3 hours, in a great atmosphere, with friendly people (even if you have never met them before) and come away looking forward to the next time?Anyone can become a Salsa dancer. Maybe not instantly, but after only a few weeks you will begin to be able to do the basic moves without having to think about it. On my first lesson the teacher told me about muscle memory. This makes complete sense because once your body gets use to the repetitive actions you can do the moves effortlessly. Just like riding a bicycle or driving a car. Can you remember when you couldnt do those things AND believed that would never get it right? To become a Salsa dancer you only have to take that first step - get along to a class! You will be made very welcome and after your first visit you will see the potential and even then you may get hooked!
